Why we like it
Fitbit’s most advanced smart watch is once again sitting at its all-time low price. Previously only available directly from Fitbit, this deal is now only available at Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, and Fitbit.

Why we like it
One of the few smart watches that looks like an actual watch, the Samsung Galaxy watch 3 is the perfect combination of function and style. The leather band and realistic clock face make it professional enough to wear to work, while the fitness tracking makes it an ideal gym companion. Previously on sale for $100 off, this model recently got an additional $50 price drop at Amazon.

Why we like it
While it’s not the fleeting $109 deal we saw on this model earlier this shopping season, this Best Buy deal gets you a decent price on the most basic Apple Watch. It’s a few generations older, but it’s still an ideal pick for a starter smart watch. You’ll get workout and sleep tracking, activity sharing with other Apple Watch users, plus all your notifications right on your wrist.

While Garmin is known for rugged, adventure-focused smartwatches and other gadgets, the Garmin Venu is both functional and stylish — you can easily wear it to a nice dinner one night and on a hike the next morning. The 43mm case fits wrists between 125 and 190 mm, and the bright, vibrant display makes it easy to check on your notifications, music, and more. It also has a battery life that lasts up to five days on a single charge, and all the detailed health and fitness tracking you’d expect from a top smart watch.

What other fitness trackers and smartwatches will be on sale for Black Friday?
Last Black Friday, we saw a $99 Fitbit Charge 2 — and at least $100 off multiple configurations of the Apple Watch Series 5. This year, Fitbit has already released their best deal of the season, a hefty $100 discount on the top-rated Fitbit Sense.
We expected more discounts on other Fitbit models closer to Black Friday, and our predictions were correct. At the time of writing, Amazon had discounted the Fitbit Charge 5 and the Fitbit Versa 2. We’re still waiting on a Fitbit Versa 3 discount, and we’re hoping to see some of the kid-specific models, like the Fitbit Ace 3, on sale as well.
Samsung already has a whole slew of Galaxy Watches on sale, with up to $100 off. While these Galaxy Watch prices might drop even further, it’s not guaranteed. We think the safest bet to snag a Samsung watch is to buy one now — the prices are good, and most configurations are still in stock.
In terms of Apple Watches, availability is already starting to look scarce. Walmart currently has most colors and configurations of the Series 6 in stock, but Amazon is bringing up the rear with very few Series 6 watches available for order. We’re hoping to see more Apple Watches in stock and at a discount in the coming weeks, but those potential deals are sure to go fast.
How to shop for a Fitbit or smartwatch this Black Friday
You’ve heard it before and we’ll say it again: buying early is the name of the game this shopping season, especially with smart watches. Ahead of the shopping holiday, it’s best to decide on what kind of fitness tracker you want before the major sales hit. Is the Fitbit branding a non-negotiable? Do you want an Apple Watch to fit in with the rest of your Apple Products? Are you an Alexa user and need an Alexa-compatible watch? These are the kind of questions you’ll want to dig into before buying.
In terms of timing, plenty of fitness trackers are already at some of the best prices of the year. While big sales on Apple Watches aren’t prevalent yet, plenty of Fitbits, Galaxy Watches, and more are already highly discounted, so it would be smart to scoop one of these up early, while they’re still in stock (thanks, supply chain backups).
If you really want to score the best deal on a Fitbit or other fitness tracker this year, keeping an eye out for retailer Black Friday deals drops is definitely the way to go. Stores like Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy are releasing new sets of deals pretty much every week, and there are bound to be some sweet smart watch deals in those drops. Just don’t dally on adding one to your cart — the fitness tracker you want could very well go out of stock if you wait too long.
