Changes and stays of the Facebook ‘Jobs’ feature to be made on 22 February 2022

Facebook Jobs is initialising some product changes on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.

With the Facebook ‘Jobs’ feature, which would now involve changes, businesses have the liberty to post job vacancies on their page. This is visible to users who visit the page and also appears on the users’ news feeds who have ‘liked’ the page, making the job-seeking process easy for them.

The feature also allows users track and manage applications from Facebook Business Manager, with all the applications exported to your business page through Messenger and privacy settings which allows you view just the information made public by the candidates.

That’s not all, the feature also easily reviews candidates’ social media profiles, making it possible for you to boost the visibility of your job postings on the social network, view screen applicants more thoroughly on a single platform, and respond to them via Messenger.

But Facebook, via the business page, has announced it will make changes on this feature from February 22, 2022. The tech giant wrote:

What’s changing

  • Existing Facebook Groups with a “Jobs” group type will be changed to the “General” group type and the “Jobs” group type will no longer be available
  • The ability to distribute free jobs via a partner integration with the Facebook Jobs API will no longer be available
  • The FB Jobs will no longer be available on the Facebook Lite app or Facebook mobile website (m.facebook.com/jobs) for both employers and jobseekers
  • The FB Jobs browser will no longer be available
  • Facebook Jobs is shutting down outside the United States and Canada
